Reality: businesses pay unemployment insurance and taxes cover the rest.
"Cut Social Security taxes"
Reality: Obama does learn. He learned that SocSec taxes collected helped TeaParty & GOP arguments not to increase debt ceiling because there was enough taxes coming in to pay SocSec, Military, debt payments and most day to day operation of govt. If the SocSec taxes weren't collected then the opposing voices would have been silenced. Think about Cloward & Piven for a second.
Overwhelm the system, and the fact that there was enough taxes coming in blew half of his strategy out of the water. He and the democrats had ignorant fear on their side and they exploited it.
